Kelly Clarkson Recap!!

Sorry I have been so MIA!

I had a busy exam week and then lost track of time being at home with the fam!

Also Charlie and I took our first session of engagement pics on Thursday!

It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see all of the pictures!

Now on to the good stuff....!

We went and saw Kelly Clarkson in Columbus, Georgia the day after my dads bday.  It was soooooo much fun! We left at 5:30 in the am and our first stop was of course McDonalds for dad!

When we got there we decided we should make posters since we would be in the 2nd row and she could def read them! So we went to Staples and made these awesome posters:

Then we got ready

and headed to the concert! We waited in line for the pre-show for forever!  It was first come seating so everyone was freaking out when they let you in.  Not knowing that almost everyone would get to be front row since the room was so small!

The Pre-Show was well worth it!  We had to wait for about an hour but when she finally came out Jenn and I had to move over so she could walk right by us! She sang a song that she and one of her guitarist's wrote that was amazing!  It was called "Call Me".  Then she brought out all of her band (except jill and kate.boo!) who all played different horns for the first Aretha Franklin song she ever sang, "I Never Loved a Man".  It was absolutely amazing!!!!!

Then we headed to our 2nd row seats! WHOO HOO!!!! and showed off our VIP passes!

All KC concerts always start with "Shook Me All Night Long"! So everyone started freaking out!!!!

Dad said the bass was going to make his heart freak out it was soo loud!!!

The whole concert was absolutely amazing! She did a wonderful job and was sooo funny!

Jill and Kate, her back up singers, saw our poster and started laughing and waving! We got it on video but i have no idea how to put that on here!

She sang for so long and it was absolutely amazing!! We had the best time ever!!!!

She looked right at me!!!!!!

After the concert the fam was hungry so we went in search of food in the small town of Columbus...after driving forever we ended the night at Krystal Burger!

Unfortunately I had to revise a paper for a final exam when I got back to the hotel...but Jenn helped me and we got done fast and went straight to bed!!!  The next morning started our return home and of course another trip to McDonalds for breakfast!

It was an amazing weekend!  I can't believe we actually drove all the way to Georgia and saw KC in a private concert, then in her real concert, then drove all the way back the next day!  We were all super tired but it was soooo worth it!

Busy Week and Mountain Weekend!

Last week was a super busy week! It was our last week of classes and it was much harder than my actual exam week was.  I also had work on tuesday where i stayed for the town lighting!  It was the cutest thing i had ever seen.  Most definitely straight out of Gilmore Girls! I am begging charlie to just be a fireman forever and not join the navy so we can live there!

 Then we had to get prepared for mountain weekend with charlie's fraternity.  I was supposed to decorate a cooler like all the other girls but we ended up picking one up at Dicks sporting goods on the way!  After three years of decorating coolers i think he was happy with a plain one for his truck that he could pick out!  But I did manage to get all of the food together and sleeping supplies.  We went to Hendersonville, NC where the temp was below freezing both nights.

For a South Carolina girl it was c-o-l-d.

There were some people (brad form detroit) in short sleeve shirts the entire time!

I don't care where you are from 20 degrees is cold!  But we did get to see snow on saturday morning. Yay! A rare occurrence here at the beach where they through sand on the roads when it snows because we don't have the high tech snow mobile things that spread salt..??.. or whatever they spread!

I have no idea and only know what one looks like from the movie Snow Day!

Anyway, we brought heating blankets, which were lifesavers!

We stayed in cabins that only had screens around them so we were basically sleeping outside!

Charlie and I were the first to arrive to the camp and we paid Jim Bob, yes thats his real name and he introduced his son, JB Junior to us..yep were definitely in the mountains!  We then went into town to go to the pet store where charlie and I had both brought puppies home from! We were hoping to bring back a cute little boykin spaniel but all they had were little lap dogs! We had fun holding them though!

We went back to the camp and hunkered down for the night!

If you look to the left charlie is the one in the black standing up holding the red cup in the black, and then look down at the brown blob and the little bit of fur..yep thats me..and thats how i looked the entire weekend! ha

This is pretty much the group that we hang out with at school, in the "snow" which you can't see here!

My friend Carson, who is also a bridesmaid, took a ton of pictures and im waiting for her to put them on facebook so ill put them up here as soon as she does!!!!

It was an awesome weekend and now i have to get ready for exams...blah

but on wednesday its my dad's birthday and he and my mom are coming to visit me and jenn and stay the night! then on thursday morning we are waking up super early to drive to Columbus, Georgia to see:

City as a Work of Art 9-12

  Sociology of Peace 7:30 to 10:30pm

(this should be illegal!)

It is quite possible I have an entire week in between only three exams!

I pray this is right!

Then I'm done and ready for CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! 

In between now and break i have soo many fun filled weekends!

I had a blog post planned for today but something HUGE happened and i HAVE to share!!!!

My sister and I are THE BIGGEST Kelly Clarkson fans!!

 My sister (Jenn) has met her twice and i have met her once!

We have seen her in concert 3 times and.....

 today i found out we are going to see her for the FOURTH time!!!!!!!!

I am so so so so so excited i can barely contain myself!

December 10th we will be rocking out in Columbus Georgia!

We also are in the KC fan club so hopefully we will get to meet her again!!!

Literally, i cannot wait!

This is my sister, me, KELLY CLARKSON!, and the girl my sister and I babysat that loves KC too!!!

KC and her band a the show tonight in New York!!

Lastly, Kelly clarkson has two backup singers named Jill and Kate.

 They met KC in a meet and greet and gave her their demo and Kelly hired them as backup singers!!!

What an amazing job they have!  They are also absolutely amazing singers in their own right!
